PTI 5th Anniversary

I have been following the 5th Anniversary celebrations over on Nichole Heady's blog for PTI & this is the first time I have had a chance to make something for her mini challenges.

The challenge was to make an interactve card & I chose to make a flower pot card. It is something I made a few years ago except I couldn't remember the dimensions so I made one up myself it is slighly taller than a standard card but would still fit in a DL envelope.

As Promised

Well as I promised on Saturday, I am back to share with you a card I made for our 7 year old neighbours birthday. I used the same colours & embellishments but chose a different layout & it's amazing how different it looks.
So here it is , let me know what you think.

Freshly Made Sketches #19

My last challenge card to upload tonight is for the Freshly Made sketches challenge.

I decided to rotate the sketch to fit the image I wanted to use. The stamp is from a Hero Arts & I have paper pieced her Kimono & used my Copics to colour her face.
I love how she turned out so much so I made another card for one of our little neighbours who is turning seven tomorrow, I even used the same colours. I will schedule that post for Tuesday if you would like to pop back.

Well I am off to enjoy my last evening before Hubby & the kids return from their 5 days of camping with piles of washing & unpacking needs doing.

Case Study challenge

My second post for the evening is a card, well actually cards I created using the Case Study challenge.

I took my inspiration from the 5 colours of twine & the simple underline on the sentiment.
Not sure of what I was going to use, I came across a set of Hero Arts stamps that as of today had not seen ink & I have had them for approx 4-5 years but sshh!!! don't tell, as I know there is more where they came from.

The card (see below) used for inspiration for this challenge was made by Jen Rzasa

This card is my favourite of the three & the one I have chose to be included in the challenge.

Sorry I have been a little quiet on the blog front this week, seriously lacking some creative mojo. I even started doing a major clean out & reorganisation in my craft room, although it's now messier then when I started. On a brighter note I have talked hubby into a trip to Sydney this week to visit Ikea & get some new cube shelving.

I did do a little Copic colouring this evening using the current weeks Digi Stamp Freebie from Bugaboo.
The image was of a Prince & Princess which also fits with the challenge over at Just Add Ink this week which is to Just Add Crowns.
I thought it would make a great Anniversary card for my stash, as I don't have any on hand at the moment.

A New Card for my Blog Header

Howdy, I was having a play around in Picnik (photo editing site) today & came across a collage that I liked for my blog header, trouble was I didn't have any nice piccies that would fit in the photo space so I went ahead & made a card that coordinated. I am still not 100% happy so there may be more changes in the week ahead, problem is I am not very technologically savvy.

This is the card I made using the colours that were already in the collage template.

Would love to know your thoughts or any tips on creating a blog header.

Using my new Goodies

Well they are not technically new just not used before now, & I am sure I am not the only one with goodies stashed in the cupboard just waiting to be used. This year I my aim is to use something on each card that I haven't used before, this will be hard then again I have loads of unused goodies.

So today I dragged out the Cover plate Quatrefoil die (thats the beautiful lattice type background), the Button Boutique stamp set as well as the Mat Stack #1 stamp set & die all these are from PTI.

I also used my set of three rolled rose flower die from MFT to make the felt roses. the two smaller sizes are on the card & the largest size I made into a brooch to give as a gift.

I would also like to add my card to the challenge over at Crazy for challenges this week which is to do or use something new on your project.

My First Challenge for the Year

Well January seems to be flying by at a great rate of knots, the kids will be back to school before we know it. Hubby is on holidays & we are enjoying daily sleep ins & then the day spent pottering around the house, I can't remember the last time our January holidays have been so cruisey.

I did spend the afternoon in my craft room as I need to make a couple of cards for January birthdays, & what a better place to start than with a challenge. The card I made is for my Sister in law & follows the colour challenge at Pals Paper Arts & the CAS challenge at Young Crafters Unite.

I have used a flower from the Beautiful Blooms stamp set, sentiment from the Birthday Basics stamp set & the Book Print Impression Plate all from PTI ,

Year in Review Part 2

As promised I have some favourites from each month. My little blog was quieter during September & October so I didn't have a lot to choose from.

Overall I had a very good year in 2011 with a total of 166 posts where as 2010. I had only 60 posts all year. It remains to be seen if I can do as well next year but I will try. I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in challenges especially the CAS ones & find they are a great way to get the creative juices flowing.

Laid back start to the New Year

I hope the rest of the year is as laid back as today was but I seriously doubt it. The day started with a sleep in & then Brunch at 11am, a little time spent in my craft room this afternoon & a simple dinner on the front verandah watching a summer storm roll in. The best thing was I didn't do any housework, but you know that means double to do tomorrow.

Desk Calendar

Today I am back to share one of the gifts I gave the girls attending my classes, It was a Desk Calender & Memo Pad, made using acrylic photo frames from Kmart. I made twenty all up & no two were the same, some I finished with butterflies others with flowers & some with just ribbon.

I am back as promised & feeling a little flat from our staff Christmas party,which was a great success.

For our last class we made some small items you could give as as Kris Kringle or Teacher gifts.
I chose a colour scheme of Purple & Blue for the evening & tried to create gifts using these colours, the first two matched but the last one was definitely the odd one out.

The first item the girls made was this little embossed glassine bag containing 6 gift cards.

the next was this triangle chocolate box

& finally a ribbon bookmark & matching peg magnet.

One Party Down One to Go

One party down One to go! I held my final class for the year yesterday & tomorrow we have our Christmas party for our staff so lots of cooking still to do, at least the studio only need a quick tidy & vacuum & it was all ready to go again.

Thankfully Emily was finished school for the year as she was a great help, she punched out the 165 ornaments needed for the gift bags alone & she bundled up all the kits once I had them cut & unlike myself everyone ended up with the correct amount of bits needed.

I have the most fabulous bunch of ladies that I would now call friends who attend & I like to spoil them, so each received a wrapped gift of some stamping stuff, a calender & memo note holder & a Rudolf skinny treat bag filled with jaffas which Emily also made for me.

Just a little glitter

Hello Everyone,
Sorry for the lack of posts, the lead up to Christmas is proving to be a tad hectic as I am sure it is for everybody else. Hopefully next week will be a little quieter. This week I have my end of year celebration on Thursday evening with 15 lovely ladies whom regularly attend my card classes, so gifts & gift bags to make (photos to come later) Teacher & staff presents to make for my sons school. & then our Business Christmas party to cater for on Saturday night & a couple of presents still to buy.

I do have a quick card to share, It is one I made last week & it fits the challenge of "glittering it on" over at The Outlawz challenge site.

As sweet as you Birthday

Tonight's card I have to share is a CAS birthday card I made using the $5 PTI stamp set called Sweet as can be (it was a real bargain). I just loved how it turned out it's nearly good enough to eat.

I have also used an embossing folder on the base of the cone for a little texture & finished the card with a little hot pink bakers twine.

My 10 Minute Card

Today I have a card to share that I made under pressure this afternoon, when I realised my son didn't have card for the party he was attending.

I had plans of copying an earlier card I had made using a motorbike, well I did except I used different colours & a different orientation (first colours that came to mind). All up it took me about 10 minutes & I even decorated the envelope. It's nothing flash but my sons friend loved it.

What was even better I had my camera on the bench when I finished so I snapped a quick piccie before heading off.

Lets try again

Well I am back to try & do my post for a second time. Just as I was typing my post up this afternoon we had a storm come through & lost power for a couple of hours seems to be every Tuesday we are having a power outage.

I spent most of today in my craft room again (neglecting the housework), I did manage a few creations, one that I will share with you today & the others I will share over the next week or so.

After seeing seeing Gretchen Clark make a boxy banner on her blog using a square spellbinders die to get the lovely points. I decided to have a go at creating a wine bottle tag, OMG it was super easy & the square die gives such a nice finish (you could possibly hand cut it if you needed to).

I embossed the Christmas Tree in silver & mounted it onto a scallop circle in Night of Navy & then adhered it to my bottle tag & finished it off with some satin ribbon.

I also made a card to go with the above, except I am not overly happy with it may have to have another go tomorrow.

Teachers Gift Bag & Card

Today I spent most of the day creating in my studio, I was supposed to be designing some cards & 3D items for my two remaining classes, instead I ended up making a card & matching gift bag for one of my sons teachers.

When searching through my stash for something to catch my eye, I found this cute little penguin stamp. First I made a few tags & then thought I would decorate a bag to go with it, then a card to match.

I did also come up with a few ideas for class but will have to wait until after my classes to see these.

My last Guest Designer card for November

Wow how November has flown by, I can't believe we have only a few days left & then onto the December countdown to Christmas & still so much to do..

I have really enjoyed being a guest designer for the Sunday CAS Challenge over at The Outlawz website, & today I would like to share with you my last card for the month.

The brief was to create a CAS card & accentuate the negative when using a die cut.. I chose to use the star punch on scrap old olive card stock then punch out a circle. I then placed some DSP behind the cut out star & used the circles to create a Chrsistmas Tree.

An Owl Birthday CASE

I chose Pool Party, Soft Suede & Calypso Coral for mine. I am happy with how it turned out, although I still think Lynn's is just perfect.

Simply Silhouettes

Hello Everyone,

WOW it's been a stinker of a day here in Canberra 32 degrees & we had our first sighting of a Brown Snake at the house today, Emily spotted it whilst she was mowing on the ride-on. We know there are lots of snakes around as I have seen them on the driveway, but it kind of freaks me out when they are seen so close to the house, we had one on our door step a couple of years ago up & ready to strike & I went into hyperventilate mode. Enough about snakes or I won't sleep.

So , whilst the family were watching something boring on TV I headed out to my craft room & made a quick card for the Less is More challenge which was to use a Silhouette stamp.

The stamp I chose is from Hero Arts & hadn't seen any ink until tonight. I chose Sahara Sand as my base & some Melon Berry satin ribbon for a hint of colour. I now have another birthday card for my stash.

My First Guest Designer Card

As promised I am back with some news & a card to share.

First up the news, I was Super Stoked (I may even have done a little happy dance) to be chosen as the Guest Designer for November over at The Outlawz for their Sunday CAS challenges. I have been participating in the CAS challenges for a little while now & love logging in each Sunday to see what the next one will be. The group also has different challenges each day as well as loads of other info.

First up the Challenge was to create a card using Embossing either wet or dry & I wanted to try something a little different for me, I just embossed one edge of the card, to do this I used my PTI card stock only;y because the embossing folders are not made for our Aussie size cards which a slightly taller.I used the ornaments from the SU Tree Trimmings set & then added the petite scalloped border along the embossed edge & some bling to finish.

This was a super quick card that will be easy to make multiples off in a variety of colours for my Xmas cards.

I will be back later in the week to share a variation of this card.

Meet our latest addition to the family

Sorry no cards to share today, just a picture our our newest addition to the family a kitten called SOX, the kids decided onn this name as he is all grey other than his 4 little white socks (paws).

We have been talking about getting a cat for a little while & then on Saturday my Husband & Son called into a pet store whilst on the way home from work, needless to say we were not at all prepared, although he did buy some food & kitty litter & we managed to make him a bed in a cardboard box with an old pillow & cut up blanket now I don't think he will want to give it up for a real bed.

I just love this picture, as I sat down to type this post Sox started exploring the office

& ended up under my desk. He had his head sticking out from under my footstool so I just had to take another picture. He is now sound asleep under the footstool he must be sensing he needs a rest before the kids get home.

Just a quick card

Hello Loyal blog readers,

Today I would like to share with you a card I made using a Free set I received from PTI a couple of months ago & for the life of me I can't remember the name & I really couldn't be bothered to walk out to my craft room, it is raining so that is a pretty good excuse maybe a should go with that. The sentiment is from this set as well.

It's hard to see but I have used the En francis background stamp on the Kraft, I have also used the x small scallop EK punch for a delicate finish.

Today I also did a Windows Vista update on my computer & it has made everything so small I can hardly read this as I am typing, I have tried a couple of different things to change it back the way it was but nothing has worked. Anyone else had this Problem? I will need glasses by the end of the month at this rate.

But it's main purpose is to display all 14 jars of buttons, I must say I am so in love with the shelf & didn't realise when I bought it could be multi purpose so now another Ikea trip might be on the cards.

Gift Card set

Howdy everyone,

Sorry I have been MIA it's currently school holidays here in the ACT till next week, so my daughter & I managed a few days in Sydney shopping. Not that we bought much but we did manage a visit to Ikea & I made a couple of purchases for the craft room.

Two challenges in one

I did say I would be back & I am back to share a card I made using some of the new SU colours, which I received this week. I chose to use the Sketch from Clean & Simple & the Colours from Colour Q.

The circles were doing my head in when I was trying to finish the card off so I went with adding some bling to the centres which now when I look at it on screen I can see they are a little off skew, so I will need to go & fix that but I wont have time to take another pic so please just picture them all centred.

It's Been a while

But I am back & should be back to regular posting as of the coming week. I haven't done any crafting other than make 3 cards for a class I had this week, one was an original others were variations of some I cased of the Web.

So for a little challenge to get myself back in the groove I headed over to the Less Is More challenge site for today's challenge, which ended up being a sketch. I chose to make a quick Christmas card using the Delightful Decorations, I took some creative licence & added an extra layer to mine so I hope it's still fits with the challenge.

I hope you have been enjoying my scheduled posts as there was no way I would have had them up otherwise.

Well as you may remember i set myself a challenge to post a CAS card everyday during August well I didn't quite get there with returning to Full Time work but I did manage 21 posts for August so I hope you aren't to disappointed.

Simple Sympathy

When my sister visited a few weeks ago she stocked up on some sympathy cardsto add to her stash she works with the aged so is often in need of sympathy cards for families.

It's a CAS card similar in design to others I made previously although this time I have used felt for the flower & added a scallop border at the bottom.

Hi Everyone,
I am still housebound with my daughter as she still has a temp & last night was particularly bad as she was hallucinating as well as hot then cold, we were talking today & both decided it was at least 2 if not 3 years since she has been sick so I guess we should count ourselves lucky.

Anyway this afternoon I managed to steal half an hour in my craft room & I made a card for the challenge over at LESS IS MORE which was to choose 3 from a list of all the challenges they have had on their site since the beginning.

Finally an update

First I will apologise to those dropping by to check out my daily posts, well that fell over when I started a full time job this week, the only reason I am home today is my daughter has been up all night with a high temp & headaches. I really like where I am, although extremely exhausted. Lucky in one way that its only a Temp Contract for 3-4 weeks.

I have quite a few cards to share it's just finding the time to post them.

I am Back

Hi to everyone that has been dropping by to check on My CAS August challenge, lets just say the wheels have fallen off. I have had a disastrous week with one thing after another too much has happened to go into all the detail.
The one positive outcome of the week was yesterday morning I was asked to go for a job interview & was rung yesterday to say I had the job (they still do have to check my referees) & that I start on Monday, its just a 4-5 week contract with a Government dept, but it will be great experience, so I can't promise what I will be able to post on my blog but I will try to do some scheduled posts over the weekend.

Rock On

Hi Everyone,
I bet you were thinking I wasn't going to get a post in today, well I did have thoughts about not popping but thought that wouldn't be fair.
Today turned out to be very busy, with a family get together with hubby's side for lunch & then my parents coming this afternoon, I thought they were coming tomorrow morning (must be old age). I will now play chauffeur for a couple of days as Dad is going in for an eye op first thing in the morning than back on Tuesday for a check up, before they head home.
The card I have to share is one I made for the Boys Card workshop I held last month, it doesn't scream CAS with all the grunge background stamping. I have used one of the $5 sets from PTI called Rock On & the matching die.

Not sure I will get any stamping done in the next few days but I will be back to share more CAS cards.

Blinged up Butterflies

Howdy Everyone,

Today I would like to share with a couple of cards I made with one of the purchases I made at the Craft Fair this week in Canberra.
I purchased these gorgeous Laser Cut butterflies & am now kicking myself I didn't buy some more. They are simply stunning on their own.

When I saw the challenge over at Friday Mashup was Butterflies & Bling I new I could use them straight away. The butterflies didn't need anything more than mounting on some shimmery white card stock &adding a little bling. The Perfect CAS card for day 12 of my CAS challenge.

Extreme Birtbike Birthday

When my son asked me to make a birthday card for his friend & could I please use orange & a motorbike stamp, I new straight away I had to use the Extreme Motorbike stamp & being that I left it till the morning of the birthday the card had to be quite easy to make.
I stuck with a basic design & built up the background design using the Extreme Elements set & then stamped the motorbike on top in Basic Black.
My son was happy with the card as well as the birthday boy & his mum, so I couldn't ask for anything better than that, here is the card I made & would love to know what you think.

Special Friend Blend

Well I can't believe I am onto the 8th day of my challenge, & have managed to post everyday.

I have had a creative morning in the craft room, when I really should have been doing housework, but that will wait won't it!!!!

Today's card is for a special friend whom I don't get to see often enough, I really need to take the time & pop in even if it's just for 1hour, it's just the weeks seem to blitz by in a blur at the moment.

I have chosen the teapot image & sentiment from the Tea for Two set from PTI. DSP & Hawaiian shores card stock also from PTI the ribbon & pink pirouette card stock from SU.

I just love how it turned out & would love to know what you think.

Day 7 of my August CAS challenge & I am a little late posting today (again) I think I left my creative Mojo at the shops yesterday. I sat down with at least 8 challenges printed out to have a go at & I only managed to complete one card although it is for two challenges & I am still not entirely happy with it.

Day 6 August CAS challenge

& I am only just making scraping in a post for today. As I said in an earlier post I have my sister visiting for the weekend & we spent today shopping & then chatting away on the couch for a few hours this evening. Now everyone is in bed I have time to to a quick post before hitting the sack.

The card I have to share is for my great Nephew who celebrated his birthday last week, I just hadn't had time to buy a present before today, but after today's effort I am all up to date with Birthday gifts.
Although I still need a 2 cards for my Nephews who turned 21 last weekend, so if anyone out there has seen a card made with Banana's in Pyjamas I would love to case it because when they were little they were both obsessed with B1 & B2 & thought it would be good for a laugh to make them a card each although maybe I need to find out who was B1 & who was B2.

My card today uses stamps from a monster set from Hero Arts. If anyone would like more info feel free to email.

Day 1 August Challenge

The challenge I set for my self to post a CAS card everyday was nearly over before it started, I just gave to share the story, because I am sure if you were a fly on the wall you would have been in Hysterics.

Short story is I was cleaning a Carving knife after dinner last night with the back of a dish brush my hand slipped & I have ended up with a deep cut about 2cm long in the side of my finger. The funny bit was was I ended up laying on the kitchen floor because I felt I was going to faint, with my hand in the air & hubby trying to apply some useless band aid.
It is still quite painful but I did manage to create a CAS card for THE OUTLAWZ challenge which was Christmas in July.

My new Challenge

As promised I am back today to tell you all about the challenge I have set myself, but first I would like to share with you a card I made for the Case Study challenge.

I have used the vintage birdcage from the SU Nature Walk stamp set. I chose Sahara sand as my base colour & a little black for the border ( a Martha Stewart punch). Sentiment is from the Botanical Silhouettes PTI stamp set. I have then finished the card by spritzing with Sahara sand marker.

OK back to the challenge I have set for myself.

I am going to try to create or at least post a CAS, Clean & Simple card everyday for the month of August. OK I know you must think I am crazy, but I am actually really enjoying the challenge of making CAS cards at the moment.

What I love about CAS cards

They are generally quick to create.

They use minimal supplies.

It really makes you think outside the square design wise.

I will be offering the chance to win some blog candy when you comment on a particular card winner will be chosen by random org, but you will have to check back to find out which card. Hint it won't be one I am entering in a challenge on another site because that would not be the right thing to do.

I am also going to look at putting up a link for those who would like to share their own CAS card, hopefully get that done in the next few days.

"Game On" Boys Cards

Howdy everyone, I hope you are all warm & snuggly at home as we are freezing our butts of here in the ACT, we have had some of the coldest nights in 17 years. -8 in Canberra city, & probably more like -10 at our house as we are quiet exposed where we live. the one upside is we have been having beautiful sunny days.

Enough about the weather the cards I have too share are from my PTI Boys workshop, the cards have been kept quiet simple as the boys or girls sometimes want to make there own cards well the younger ones anyway & they then at least have Mums sample card to use as a guide.

The cards use the Game On stamp set from PTI & because the ladies had the Stamp sets included in the workshop, I tried not to use any other stamp sets other than what they received on the day.

Over the next few weeks I will gradually be adding more cards made using the Stamp Sets they received

"Game On" "Rock On" Skater Dude" & Grunge Me".

On another note I will be setting myself a challenge for the Month of August so you will have to pop back tomorrow to find out the details, I also plan on offering some Seam Binding Blog Candy as well.

Papertrey Ink July Blog Hop

Well it's time again for the Papertrey Ink monthly blog hop. Where is the time going?

This month is another inspiration picture, the colours are just gorgeous so I decided to make that the focus of my cards.

The first card I created was a CAS Clean & Simple & used the Mehndi Medallions set from the June Release & the Thank You Sentiment from Botanical Silhouettes PTI Anniversary set.

My second card had a little more work, but I love how it turned out. I have used the Hawaiian shores spotted paper as a background, cut a tag from Kraft card stock using the Tag Sale #3 die & embellished it with some Orange Zest felt flowers cut from the Beautiful Blooms #2 die & the stem from one the flower fusion stamp sets. The tag was then finished with a few buttons & some twine.

I have then mounted the tag onto the card & finished with a sentiment from the think big range stamped onto Velum.

I hope you have enjoyed my cards but it's off to bed for us in the Southern hemisphere as it's now after midnight, I hope to pop by & checkout every ones creations tomorrow.

Orange & Yellow CAS Card

Just popping in with a card I made for this weeks Challenge over at the Outlawz group. The challenge is to create a CAS Happy card using orange & yellow, I love how the card turned out. I used the scallop punch to create a scrunched flower, & when it was fully assembled I misted it with Iridescent Memories Mist spray. The sentiment is from one of the Flower Fusion stamp sets from PTI.

CAS Challenge

Today I would like to share with you a quick card I made for a CAS challenge over at Outlawz. The challenge asked for something OLD something NEW & something BLUE.

For the OLD I used the some Parisian Breeze DSP(i think that's what is was called) something NEW was my NEW white card stock I found at a local office supplies store (it has the exact texture of SU & solid stamps come up beautifully something I found hard if not using Whisper White SU) & it's a quarter of the price. For something BLUE I used the ink as well as the DSP.

I decided to turn the card into a Sympathy card for my stash. I hope you like my card & thanks for dropping by.

Rosette Flowers

For a long time I have wanted to make some Rosette flowers to add to a card & when I saw the challenge over at Simon Says Stamps which was to use newspaper or newsprint DSP. I decided to have a go at making them using the newsprint DSP & finishing them of with some cute buttons.

I tried to keep the card pretty simple by using card stock for the stem & some die cut leaves & a little paper piercing around the edge. Sentiment & leaf die cut from PTI.

Another Colour Q Challenge

Well I did go back into the craft room to see if I could bring my brainwave to light, no such luck! I had thoughts of creating an ice block card, I made the ice blocks OK I just couldn't make it come together on a card.

So I went with creating a gift tag using the colours from the Colour Q challenge.I will use the tag to add to a coffee cup present I have to give later in the month.

I am really happy with how it turned out, & I am still playing around with the Picnik photo editing to come up with something I am happy with.

All the goodies I used other than card stock is from PTI.

I have had a busy day preparing for my Boys Workshop on the weekend, so I took some time out to make a card for the Colour Q challenge.

WOW the colours scream summer pitty that it's winter in Australia & we are freezing our butts off. CAS Dot Spot

Wow where are the weeks going, I can't believe my kids only have 1 week of school holidays left. They have been having a great time catching up with friends, although that did not equate to any spare time for crafting.
I spent the last 2 days helping my Mum & Dad with a garage sale prior to them moving in 2 weeks & I must say today I am not feeling 100% so I spent some time Blog surfing & found a couple of challenges to inspire me.

Please note that this is in the plural... we need to see more than one circle, so not just a circular card base or the odd circle thrown in just to qualify... we need you to think circles and see what you can come up with. Well it's been a very hectic week in the Platzer household, with EOFY paperwork, two birthdays & two new babies.

A Very quick card

Hi ladies
I just have to say, this would have to be one of the quickest cards I have ever made. After just lamenting on my last post about no creative Mojo, I took a quick look at the Less is More challenge blog this week as I thought I should be able to make a CAS card at least.

The challenge this week was SHADES OF BLUE & I knew instantly I wanted to make a card with the butterfly embosslit. I cut out 4 butterflies in Night of Navy , Marina Mist, Baja Breeze & Bashful Blue & placed them on the card in order of saturation. I have used the shimmery white card stock from SU & sentiment from PTI.

Not one of my best card, but it is the only card I have made in about 4 weeks.

So with the need to update my blog I dug deep into the archive to find another card I haven't shared with you all yet. I made this card to a sketch a little while ago & now don't remember which one, must be old age.

Well as promised I have loads more colours of the seam binding For Sale 30 colours to be exact.

I am selling it at $2.50 for 5m + Postage with Free Postage if you order 10 or more.

Papertrey Ink June Blog Hop

Hello Ladies,

Well it's Papertrey Ink Blog Hop time again & the challenge this time was the Inspiration picture below.

While I loved the photo lots of gorgeous colour, I struggled to make only one card. I set out to do lots of creating the after my last post but our holiday has not been great for the MOJO it's definitely gone AWOL maybe I left it in Bali lol.

For today's card I have used the Signature Dress form die & sentiment from the Flower Fusion 3 stamp set, both from Papertrey Ink.

I have use the Papertey Ink Felt which is just fab in the colours of Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shore & Simply Chartreuse.I have then hand drawn a border with a felt tip fineliner (not bad for my first ever attempt).

Deadline missed

Just a quick post to share a card I made earlier in the week for the Sweet Sunday Sketch but missed the deadline to post it.

It's a sweet little digi image I had on file not sure where it's from, but she sure is cute. This was one of the first images I coloured with my Copics. I still have a few more that need to be made into cards, not sure when that will happen though.

Off to do my first bit of stamping since returning from holidays, I've got some challenges printed out so hopefully that will get the Mojo flowing.

Back to Reality

We are finally back home to reality after spending 10 nights in Bali for our nieces wedding, & the hardest part of coming home was leaving the 30degree days to arrive home to a freezing 7 degrees at 11am yesterday, not funny !!!!!!!!

We had a lovely time in Bali, The wedding was held at the Grand Hyatt in Nusa Dua & was just beautiful unfortunately the reception got rained out just as we were finishing the main meal, we then had to wait in a downstairs restaurant whilst they prepared a function room for us, the party continued with lots of dancing & singing & was still going strong when we left at 1am, we only left then because we had to check out of our hotel at 11am. Can you believe it hadn't rained or even looked like rain in the 8 days we had already spent there.

We didn't venture far from our resort the Novotel Nusa Dua, although we spent the first full day in Kuta at the shops & markets, that was a real eye opener. Emily was absolutely petrified at the markets as the vendors really targeted her & would grab at her to look at something or try to get her into their stall for a girl who's favourite pastime is shopping she never wanted to go again she even stayed in the apartment for the morning when Robert James & I went to the markets at the front gates to Nusa Dua. We also spent another day at the Waterbom water park with cousins & another family we met at our resort.

For some reason all the photos I took look quite grainy, so I have only a few to share with you & the best photo I have of the bride & groom is one I have cropped another couple out of.

A CASE & Fav Colour Combo

I hope you are enjoying my scheduled posts, at the time of this post going live our family should be celebrating the wedding of my husbands niece in BALI & possibly dieing from the heat.We head home tomorrow & so I will have some photos to share.

The last of my Peach Parfait & Very vanilla cards is a case of a card from the Splitcoaststanpers website, this is a link to the card. As soon as I saw it I new I wanted to case it. I haven't really changed anything other than using the seam binding & placement of the sentiment & of course the colour.

The card uses the Strength & Hope stamp set from SU.

This card is also a great layout if you wanted to mass produce some cards, just personalise it with your chosen image & sentiment.

CAS & Current Fav Colour Combo

As the title says a CAS (Clean and Simple) card using one of my current favourite colour combos.

This card uses the Beautiful blooms flower die & sentiment from Papertrey ink, Card stock & ribbon from SU.

This is a great card to mass produce, as it is very quick & could be personalised with any number of sentiments & the flower could be substituted for any punched flower.

A new favourite Colour Combo

Todays card is one I have made using my new favourite colour combo, Peach Parfait & Very Vanilla.

I have used the Strength & Hope set from SU which is a really pretty set, with some of the proceeds of the sale going to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

The gorgeous cream seam binding & pearls add a soft & luxurious feel to the card & once all assembled I have spritzed the whole card with some glimmer mist.

In case you wandering the butterfly antennae are made from slivers of card stock.

I have two more cards to share over the next few days using this same colour combo.

Another Class Creation

This fortnights cards were definitely CAS cards, I based this one on an Earlier card I had made for the Papertery Ink Blog Hop. The ladies just personalised it with their chosen sentiment.

I have used the images from the Larger then Life set & sentiment from Signature Greetings both are Paperteyr Ink sets. Colours were Old Olive & Concord Crush from SU.
